Old #5 Road Bar and Grill is a family-owned restaurant in Chateaugay, NY. The owner commissioned me to design a new identity system for their restaurant including a set of logos, menus, coasters, and a website (to come soon).
The primary logo plays on the family’s history with the site – having grown up on the same street and now raising their children there, the site has seen many generations of the family and they are happy to continue the family legacy for many generations to come. The logo mark highlights the street name with roughened drop-shadow lettering implying the restaurant (much like the family) has been and will be around for many years to come. A classic serif font frames the logo mark in all logo variations, creating striking dimensionality and adding visual interest to the identity system.
